Street Eats Festival Back in Whitehorse
Whitehorse – Working with different cultural organizations and Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce, the City of Whitehorse will be hosting its second annual Street Eats Festival on Steele Street next to City Hall. The festival will run from Monday August 14th until Friday August 18th, from 11am to 7pm, and will feature popular Canadian, Chinese, Indian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Filipino, and Thai style street food.
“Whitehorse is becoming more and more culturally diverse with people from many nationalities choosing to make our city their home”, said Mayor Dan Curtis. “The City is glad to host this event again to celebrate our diversity, support our small businesses, and encourage a vibrant downtown”, he added.
Participating food vendors include:
- Barbecue King
- Daat Indian Cuisine
- Garlic A GoGo
- Jazzy Street Eats

Steele Street next to City Hall will be closed during the festival. The parkade behind Horwood's Mall will remain open.
