Audio-Visual Upgrades To Council Chambers

Whitehorse – Starting this week, the City of Whitehorse is updating the audio-visual equipment in council chambers.

As a result, council chambers will be unavailable for the following three weeks.

The Standing Committee meeting scheduled for April 3rd and the Regular Council meeting scheduled for April 9th will both be relocated to the Heritage Room. It is possible that an additional meeting will also be relocated.

These meetings will not be broadcast on TV or live-streamed via the internet, nor will they be recorded.

Signs will be posted at the Steele Street entrance of City Hall to re-direct anyone wishing to attend to the entrance on Second Avenue. Signs will also be posted in the front lobby in advance of meeting days and will be moved outside before each meeting to advise the public of the meeting location.

If everything goes as planned, meetings will resume in council chambers on April 16th.
