New Parking Kiosk In Main Street Parkade
Public Service Announcement
Whitehorse – The City parking lot at the end of Main Street, next to the Whitehorse United Church, has a new pay station, which will go live on Monday, May 28th.
Customers will be able to pay in new and different ways. Just follow these easy steps:
- Select an empty spot and park your car.
- Go to the pay machine and follow the directions on the screen.
- Select the length of your stay. Parking costs 50 ¢ per hour.
- You can use coins (any denomination) or a credit card (Visa or Mastercard).
- Collect your receipt and display it face up on your dashboard.
Payment is only required from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday – however, the new pay station will accept payment in advance of those hours, from 7:30 am onwards.
For example, a customer can pay for two hours of parking if they enter the parkade between 7:30 - 9 am and their receipt will cover their parking fees from 9 am to 11 am, as long as it is duly displayed on their vehicle’s dashboard.
The parking lot at the end of Main Street, next to the Whitehorse United Church, remains available for free parking Monday to Friday between 6 pm and 9 am as well as all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
