New development area in Copper Ridge

Whitehorse – The City of Whitehorse is focused on ensuring all residents have a safe place to call home. To meet this demand, we are looking at a number of ways to increase the amount of housing in our community.

This month, the City is launching a public engagement to explore development on City and Government of Yukon land between Copper Ridge Place and Falcon Drive.

This engagement will provide residents the opportunity to give input on what they want to see, and how the City can best meet those needs. It will include discussions with the planning team, surveys, an open house, and the creation of two proposed land use concept plans that will be shared once they are complete.

While the engagement has yet to begin, we encourage all Whitehorse residents to share this information with friends and neighbours. This will ensure the highest number of participants and help us create a vision for the area that reflects the community’s needs.
