Robert Service Way will be closed from 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 22 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 23.
The closure will allow our contractor the space to safely work without risk to the travelling public.
The work includes widening the asphalt surface and removing the soil berm. The remaining landslide material will be removed at a later date.
This will position us better for next spring when implementing protective measures, so the shift in travelling lanes does not extend onto the gravel shoulder. This will also re-establish a paved shoulder for active transportation users heading into town.
The Millennium Trail will remain open during the temporary road closure. Active commuters will be detoured to the Millennium Trail during the construction work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your patience during this time.
