Sanitary Forcemain Testing

From November 26 to December 1, City of Whitehorse contractors will be excavating a number of locations along the waterfront to test the City’s sanitary forcemain.

The testing will confirm the integrity of the pipe and help plan for future upgrades.

The south parking lot adjacent to Waterfront Station, on Second Avenue, will be closed during that time.

The City will also be excavating a location along the path across from Walmart – the existing pedestrian crossing on Quartz Road will not be impacted.
