The City of Whitehorse is marking the 24th Anniversary of our Sister City relationship with Lancieux, France.
The City of Whitehorse and l’Association franco-yukonnaise invite the public to join in celebrating our relationship with Lancieux at noon on Tuesday, August 27 at City Hall. The Lancieux flag will be raised and a reception will follow.
The Sister City relationship between Whitehorse and Lancieux promotes international friendship between France and Canada as well as the sharing of cultural and educational opportunities.
Both cities also share a bond based on the proud memory of a famous resident, poet Robert Service, who lived in Lancieux after his time in the Yukon.
