Building a new active transportation connection

Construction of a new active transportation connection between the Millennium Trail and the rear parking lot of École Selkirk Elementary School will be underway from August 22 to September 15.

Work near the school is anticipated to be finished prior to August 27 when students return to the classroom. If work is required after classes begin, it will be done during off peak hours and according to an approved Traffic Control Plan.

Heavy equipment will be used during the project for tree clearing, grubbing, stripping and gravel placement.

The new path will be paved during a future phase of the project.
