From September 10 to 12, the City of Whitehorse is hosting a delegation from the Arctic Urban Regional Cooperation (AURC) network for a Study Visit.
The AURC network is funded by the European Union and brings together municipal leaders from around the world to share knowledge, support exchanges and learning, and promote sustainable development across the Arctic.
Delegates are visiting from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, the Northwest Territories and Alaska.
The program for the study visit includes presentations on sustainable tourism, climate challenges and community resiliency, and Indigenous inclusion as well as a site visit of the Whitehorse South Fuel Break.
