Local youth will have an opportunity to learn about traditional meal making.
With support from the City, the Whitehorse Aboriginal Women’s Circle is hosting a Traditional Meal Making workshop for youth ages 12 to 18.
The workshop will be held on October 17 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Frank Slim Building at Shipyards Park.
This intergenerational learning opportunity will allow youth to cook a traditional meal that they will serve to community elders while also enjoying tea and cultural teachings. Participants can also bring a meal home with them.
Support for transportation can be provided.
