Sliding Into Winter At Shipyards Park

Grab a sled and head down to Shipyards Park for Tobogganing Fridays this winter.

From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Friday between November 15 and March 14, our Parks and Community Development staff will be serving up hot chocolate and marshmallows.

We invite children and their caregivers to enjoy afternoon sliding and a warm drink.

Guardian supervision is required and caregivers should be on sleds with children five years and under.

Out of an abundance of caution, the event will be cancelled if the temperature is -20 Celsius or colder.

A few sleds will be available for use at the park, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.
