Joint Use Agreement
The City of Whitehorse has signed a Public Facilities Joint Use Agreement with the Government of Yukon – Department of Education, and with Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon (CSFY). This Agreement covers public use of Yukon schools in Whitehorse, and school swimming and skating at the Canada Games Centre. The purpose of the Joint Use Agreement (JUA) is to provide a framework by which selected public facilities within the bounds of the City of Whitehorse can be used by the community to the maximum extent practicable through a benefits-based approach for space allocation.
The Agreement is effective 2021 to 2024, and includes procedures and forms for community use of schools and school use of the Canada Games Centre. The Agreements are available in both English and French. Use the links below to access and download the Yukon – Whitehorse Public Facilities Joint Use Agreements in sections. Community use documents are combined under Appendix B.
