Tourist-Only Parking Enforcement Resumes

Post Date:06/30/2020 4:10 PM

Whitehorse – Commuters are advised that designated tourist-only parking spaces along Front Street will come back into effect on Wednesday, July 1st. Bylaw Services will also resume enforcement at this time.

In an effort to support tourism and our local businesses, the re-establishment of tourist-only parking spaces in conjunction with enforcement serves to ease pressure on downtown parking spaces and ensures that parking is available to visitors.

The Government of Yukon announced border controls are set to ease on July 1st to travellers from British Columbia, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.
