2021 City of Whitehorse Municipal Election

Whitehorse – Residents can now register to vote, check their registration status, and apply to vote by mail online for the 2021 City of Whitehorse Municipal Election!

Through our partnership with Elections Yukon, the upcoming City of Whitehorse Municipal Election will offer the most convenient and flexible options for voters. This will be the first time that Whitehorse voters can register to vote online, and all voters can vote by special ballot.

In person polling locations are also being planned with COVID-19 safety measures in place for voters and staff.

To get started on your voter registration and vote by mail application, and for information on the election, visit whitehorse.ca/election.

Are you interested in running in this year’s election? Whether you want to be involved in the City’s decision-making process, or contribute your knowledge and experience, serving your community can be a rewarding experience.

The nomination period for candidates opens on September 7th and closes on September 23rd at 12 noon. Prospective candidates can find election information, such as eligibility and key dates at whitehorse.ca/election.

The City of Whitehorse Municipal Election is on October 21st, 2021.
