Annual maintenance of Canada Games Centre pool set for August

Starting August 10, the pool at the Canada Games Centre will be closed for approximately five weeks for annual maintenance and the replacement of the domestic water distribution piping.

The domestic water lines in the Whitehorse Lions Aquatic Centre are at end of their lifespan and need to be replaced. New lines will ensure pressure and temperature consistency and reliable service in the aquatic centre.

During this time, the pool will also undergo its regular annual maintenance work and other minor upgrades.

The aquatics team will be hosting their annual Last Splash event on August 9.
