Residents can expect the Canada Games Centre to be busy over the next two weekends.
On Saturday, October 26 the City is hosting its annual Halloween Spooktacular with events happening at the CGC throughout the afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. There will be a free Halloween Glow Skate, games, bouncy castles, indoor trick-or-treating, face painting, Yukon Avengers photo ops, performances by the Yukon Circus Society and a screening of Despicable Me 4.
A week later on Saturday, November 2, the annual Spruce Bog Craft Fair will be underway in the Flexihall, with the Whitehorse Women’s Hockey Association Jamboree happening in the CGC arenas.
As parking will be limited, anyone planning to visit the CGC is encouraged to carpool, use Transit or overflow parking to assist with traffic flow. Drivers are asked to respect designated spaces as parking control will be enforced.
Please do not block Transit lanes, including the stairs connecting to the Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre. Vehicles will be towed if they are parked in designated no parking areas.
