The City of Whitehorse takes another step towards creating an inclusive and accessible community for all its residents and visitors.
The City’s contractor will install new para ramps at various locations along Fourth Avenue between Jeckell Street and Elliott Street, improving accessibility for all users.
The work will start today and finish by September 29, weather permitting.
Para ramps are designed to accommodate individuals using mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, and those with limited mobility. These ramps offer a gentle slope and a non-slip surface, ensuring a safer passage for all users.
Please use caution when in the area of work zones, and follow all detours and construction signage.
