Local builders, developers and property owners are invited to participate in Small-Scale Multi-Unit Development Workshops being hosted by the City of Whitehorse.
The workshops will provide an opportunity for builders and property owners to learn about changes to the City’s Zoning Bylaw and how these changes may impact the design of their developments.
Recent updates to the Zoning Bylaw provide more opportunities for residential development in the City. This includes allowing up to four units per lot on all urban residential properties.
Kobayashi + Zedda architects will be facilitating the workshops and will lead a presentation on considerations for the development of small-scale multi-unit housing in Whitehorse. Kobayashi + Zedda and City staff will be available to answer questions from developers and property owners about their designs and plans for their housing projects. Participants will also have the option of working on a sample design.
The Developer Workshop will be for industry professionals including builders, developers, governments, non-profit organizations, architects, designers and others in the industry.
The General Public Workshop is aimed at residents and property owners who may be interested in developing units on their property.
