The City of Whitehorse is looking to create a Main Street Town Square this summer.
This temporary pilot project consists of turning Main Street into a pedestrian-only square between Second Avenue and Front Street. This square will serve as a Downtown hub for people to gather, eat, and shop.
A survey is available to gather input from residents and businesses, which will be taken into account during the planning and development of the project. In the coming weeks, the City will also reach out to businesses directly affected by this initiative.
We encourage everyone to share this information with friends and neighbours. This will ensure the highest number of residents and businesses are informed and engaged throughout the project, and help us create a Town Square that reflects the community’s wants and needs.
