Mayor Laura Cabott and Minister of Tourism and Culture John Streicker have signed a new partnership agreement to collaborate on projects related to tourism and culture in Whitehorse.
The agreement identifies a number of opportunities for the City and the Government of Yukon to work together including support for local events and infrastructure needs, leveraging the Government of Yukon’s digital and marketing channels to reach a broader tourism audience, and exploring ways to showcase First Nations arts and culture.
Tourism advocacy is a strategic priority for the City and signing this agreement gives the City additional tools to market itself as a world-class city and tourism destination.
