All pool times become viewable and bookable 3 days prior at 7:00 am.
Guidelines when booking lane or family swims:
Lane and leisure pool lane swims are limited to 1 booking per person per day. Individuals who do not show up for their bookings twice in a 2-week period will be unable to book for 7 days.
Family time swims are limited to 1 booking per bubble in a 2-week period. Families who do not show up for their time slot will be unable to make Family time bookings for the next 4 weeks.
If you can no longer make your booked time slot, you can cancel it in-person, on the phone (668-8360) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) up to 4 hour prior to the start time without penalty.
Remember to put yourself on a waitlist if the spot is full!
HOW TO BOOK THE POOL
Register for a time slot online or in-person (as early as 3 days in advance and up to minutes before, provided there is still space available). Book only 1 time-slot per person per day for lane swim.
Arrive ready to swim: Arrive in your swimsuit, bring your googles, swim cap, water bottle, towel and flip flops/water shoes with you. Leave shampoo, body wash, hair dryers, etc., at home.
Get your wristband at the front desk.
Pool entry is through the viewing area doors. Remove your footwear and follow instructions by staff.
Each registrant can use a provided bin (subject to availability) or bring their own bag/bin to store their personal belongings on deck. Please change on deck and keep items inside your bin.
Clean equipment is also located on the viewing deck and can be picked up now.
You are required to have a quick cleansing shower prior to entering the pool. The shower is located by the Steam Room.
When done your activity, please place used equipment in the designated area and continue moving towards the change rooms. You will have a maximum of 15 minutes in the change rooms at the end of your time-slot.

In your web browser (preferably Google Chrome), visit www.whitehorse.ca/play. The process is simple and only takes a few minutes. You can create an account by clicking on the “Launch PLAY” button and then “Create an Account” button at the bottom of the “Log In” Box. Fill out the “Don’t Have a Login Yet?” page. Once all the fields have been completed, click the “Submit” button at the bottom. A new temporary password will be sent to your email address. You can also add a default payment method to your account.
Is my new recreation account active right away?
Yes, you no longer have to wait for your new account to be activated. You can even create all of the additional family members you want on your account. Remember, family should only include those who are related and living at the same address.
I created my recreation account, but forgot my password. What do I do?
If you have misplaced your password, use the “Forgot Password” link on the login page, and instructions will be sent to the email address on your account.
Do I need to have a recreation account to search for memberships, programs or facility availability?
No. You can still search and view the information at www.whitehorse.ca/play. However, if you would like to register for a program, purchase a membership, or reserve a facility online you need to have an online account.
I don’t want to register online for a recreation account. Can I register in person?
Yes, you can still register for recreation services in person or over the phone by calling the Canada Games Centre.
Which payment methods are accepted for recreation account signup?
Online, we accept MasterCard, VISA or a Debit Card
In person we accept cash, MasterCard, VISA, or Debit (as well as Cheques, Recreation Gift Cards and Purchase Orders) - please visit the Canada Games Centre during regular business hours.
There is no exchange rate for US cash. American Express is not accepted.
What features does my recreation account offer?
Here are some of the things you can do with your PLAY account:
Save MasterCard, VISA or bank account information on your account for future purchases, through our secure and encrypted payment service.
View transaction history, and reprint receipts.
View current account credits, or balances owing.
Manage your personal information including name, address, phone number, email address.
Create and link members of your family under one account.
View family schedules and stay on top of when who needs to be where for what program.
Search, filter and review invoices.
View your shared credit, past due and net account balances online.

View, search, and find information on programs and services.

What can’t I do?
There is always background work that needs to be completed by Administration, so there are a few things you will not be able to do including:
Withdraw from a course
We often have people on waitlists that need to be contacted as quickly as possible to fill any open spots in the program. There are also withdrawal and other administrative fees that may be applicable if you withdraw from a course. Let us know if you need to withdraw, and we’ll take care of it for you.
Remove someone from your account
There is a lot of behind the scenes work required to completely remove someone from your account and we want to make sure it is done properly. Just let us know you want to remove someone from your account, and we’ll do the rest.
Upload your own photo for your membership card
You will have to visit us at the Canada Games Centre to get your photo taken and pick up your membership card or passes.

How can I verify/see what recreation programs my family members are currently registered in?
Your whitehorse.ca/play account allows you to add family members and manage their programs all within one account. It’s a great feature!

You have the choice of three ways to register for a program:
