Oversize Monument
Prior to purchasing an oversize monument, a written request or online application from the customer to the City of Whitehorse must be submitted to the Supervisor of Parks for approval, with a drawing or picture of the oversize monument showing the dimensions. The fees below will be charged for oversize monuments and must be paid prior to installation.
- Height upright to 24 inches (must receive prior approval): $265.55
- Height upright to 48 inches (must receive prior approval): $418.15

The dimensions of a regular size monument shall not exceed 20cm (8”) in height, 75cm (30”) in width, and 30cm (12”) in depth. The cost for the placement of a regular size monument is included in the purchase of the plot.

Monument placement outside of normal business hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm will be subject to an additional charge.
Item #20 – A monument shall be made of granite, marble or other suitable material commonly used for that purpose.
Item #21 – All monuments are considered to be the property of the purchaser and required care or repair is the responsibility of the purchaser. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the delivery of the monument to the Cemetery for placement.
Item #22 – Only one monument shall be permitted on a plot unless written permission is obtained from the Manager.
Item #23 – No work shall be done upon any monument, nor shall the monument be removed from any plot without permission from the Manager.
Item #24 – A monument shall be installed on a base provided by the City or a base approved by the Manager.
