We want to accommodate everyone, which is why we have a host of options that make CGC accessible:
- Facility features such as elevators and automatic door openers
- Accessible washrooms and change rooms
- Discounted admission rates for persons with permanent disability after provision of a one-time doctor’s note
- Accessible parking spots and accessible transit buses with service to CGC
- Accessible equipment options in the Wellness Centre
In the pool:
- 3 wheelchairs that can go in the water
- Change rooms equipped with showers and benches that fold up and/or down for showering on the bench or in an aquatic wheelchair
- One change room with a ceiling lift – patrons must bring their own harness and use the equipment on their own.
- We have a Hoyer lift that is portable (to be used with your own harness)
- Ramp access the leisure pool
- A manual crank style chair to access the hot tub and electric chair to access the lap pool
- Floatation devices such as noodles, dumbbells, and PFDs for use in the water
Help us maintain accessibility by:
- Parking in designated parking spots
- Keeping bus and pass through lanes clear at all times
- Using the stairs to leave the elevator available for those with mobility issues
- Keeping the concourse clear and reporting any maintenance issues immediately to staff
