Mayor Statement on New Premier

“On behalf of the City of Whitehorse, I want to congratulate and welcome the new Premier of the Yukon, Ranj Pillai.

The City of Whitehorse and the Government of Yukon share a number of priorities including the maintenance and expansion of community infrastructure, housing, reconciliation, and the mitigation of climate change impacts on our community.

We have been able to advance a number of these priorities through hard-work and collaboration and we hope to maintain this momentum on behalf of residents and Yukoners alike.

Congratulations to the new Premier and his new Cabinet on this exciting new chapter. Together, we can ensure our residents have the services, programs, and infrastructure they need to work, live, and play in Whitehorse.”
