Remembrance Day Ceremony

On Saturday, November 11, the Remembrance Day ceremony will take place at the Canada Games Centre.

9 am: Doors open for those with mobility difficulties
9:30 am: Doors open to the general public
10:15 am: Ceremony begins
11 am: Ceremony ends

Transit will provide a free shuttle service to the ceremony from Takhini Arena between 8:10 am and 10:15 am, returning to Takhini Arena between 11:30 am and 1 pm.

There will be no parking along Hamilton Boulevard or Sumanik Drive near the CGC. Bylaw staff will provide traffic control and patrols at applicable intersections and traffic lights, to facilitate vehicle movement before and after the ceremony.

Spectators are encouraged to carpool, use active transportation or overflow parking to assist traffic movement. Overflow parking is located at Takhini Arena, Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre and at the ‘Dog Trail’ parking lot (access from Hamilton Blvd).

The CGC facility hours will be from 1 pm to 6 pm on Remembrance Day.
