As of July 1st new Whitehorse Transit routes and schedules will come into effect to improve service for riders.
New routes in the south of the city will replace routes 2, 3 and 5, improving service to Riverdale, Copper Ridge and neighbouring areas, including new service for residents of Valleyview.
Additional bus service will connect Riverdale, Yukon University and the Whitehorse Airport to downtown during weekday peak hours in the morning and afternoon.
Late Night Drop-off Service will be extended to weekends and holidays.

These improvements build on the first phase of improvements made in 2023, which focused largely on the city’s north end, including the addition of a Whistle Bend route.
The City of Whitehorse is modernizing the transit system based on public feedback with a focus on improving convenience, efficiency and accessibility.
The recent work to improve service has led to record-breaking transit ridership in Whitehorse.
May 2024 set an all-time high with more than 89,000 rides taken throughout the month, breaking the previous record of 86,374 rides in April 2024.
