Route 202 (Porter Creek West) goes to Yukon University and Elijah Smith Elementary School, and no longer travels downtown.

Riders can board Route 201 or transfer at the Canada Games Centre to get downtown.

Route 402 (Whistle Bend West) goes along Range Road to Whistle Bend, rather than Mountain View Drive, and travels through the McIntyre, but no longer serves the Copper Ridge area.

Riders can transfer at the Canada Games Centre to get to the Copper Ridge area.

Option 1

1. Take Route 301.
2. Get off at Hamilton Blvd & McIntyre Dr (NB) at :08.
3. Transfer to Route 402 at Hamilton Blvd & McIntyre Dr (NB) at :11.
4. Arrive in Porter Creek at :28.

1. Take Route 301.
2. Get off at Hamilton Blvd & CGC (NB) at :10.
3. Transfer to Route 402 at Hamilton Blvd & CGC (NB) at :13.
4. Arrive in Porter Creek at :28.

1. Take Route 202 from Porter Creek at :21.
2. Get off at Hamilton Blvd & CGC (SB) at :44.
3. Transfer to Route 301 at Hamilton Blvd & CGC (SB) at :45.

Riders can board Route 402 and transfer at the Canada Games Centre (via Route 301) to get to the Copper Ridge area.

The timing of buses means the wait time at CGC is approximately 4 minutes.

Riders can board Route 301 and transfer at the Canada Games Centre (via Route 402) to get to Porter Creek.

The timing of buses means the wait time at CGC is approximately 3 minutes.

At the Canada Games Centre, riders can board:

• Route 101 (City Central)
• Route 202 (Porter Creek West)
• Route 301 (Copper Ridge North)
• Route 402 (Whistle Bend West).

These changes were made to improve service. The goal is to ensure buses are running on time and providing Transit service where it is needed most in the system.

Routes 202 and 402 were the two longest routes in the Transit system and have the lowest ridership. There have been increased challenges in keeping these buses on schedule as result of increased traffic congestion, speed limit reductions and traffic calming measures.

These changes have shortened the routes to make them more reliable while still ensuring alternate routes and connections are available for riders to get where they need to go.

Planning and evaluation for these changes has been underway for approximately 10 months, including assessment of multiple route alternatives and previously considered concepts.

Analysis of travel times and rider impacts showed this option created the lowest overall disruption while improving consistency and transfer reliability for the majority of riders.
