Whitehorse – The City of Whitehorse has released the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) engagement summary report.
Throughout Phase 1 of this engagement period, the following key themes were heard:
- Increasing transportation options for all ages, abilities, incomes, and seasons;
- Improve traffic safety;
- Focus on core transportation services;
- Complete streets; and
- Climate action and sustainability.
The report includes detailed feedback on what was heard from 20 stakeholder and interested party interviews, 180 survey submissions, and nearly 100 attendees to virtual and in-person engagement events. Feedback received in Phase 1 will be used to inform and guide the development of the draft and final TMP.
Join us for a webinar on November 15 at 6 p.m. to review key themes from previous engagement activities, and explore good practices for transportation from around the world.
In 2020, the City of Whitehorse began the process to update its Transportation Master Plan, which will set the direction for a vibrant city where people and places are conveniently connected by diverse transportation options.
