Work continues on the Takhini Sanitary Trunk Main

The City’s contractor is continuing work on the Takhini Sanitary Trunk Main.

Starting Wednesday, August 2, Range Road will be closed to vehicles from the Trans Canada Trail crossing, near Mountain View Drive, to University Drive. This closure will remain in effect until the end of October.

University Drive and Softball Yukon will be accessible from Range Road south.

Active transportation access will continue on Range Road via the sidewalk on the west side until Mountain View Drive can be reopened to those users.

During this time, Route 5 northbound transit service will end at Yukon University. Riders coming from the Range Point neighbourhood are asked to use Route 401.

Route 402 will detour onto the Alaska Highway and then onto 12th Avenue in Porter Creek.

Transit riders should expect delays on both routes.

Motorists are asked to drive to conditions and plan accordingly.
